As a marketer, you understand the importance of identifying new and interesting ways to connect with customers. With digital often leading the way, events offer the perfect complement to digital marketing campaigns and can even serve as the lead for digital efforts. For example, if thought leadership is a priority, gated content - i.e. whitepapers, case studies, etc. helps drive leads. Start with a thought leadership event and your content pipeline is overflowing. Create a brief questionnaire to gather and publish insights from each speaker and all attendees. Livestream the event - keeping in mind, you can record, edit and publish “live” after the event. This doesn’t require a large live audience. If your budget is tight, you may opt for no outside audience at all, limiting it to the select group of VIPs (your team!). This is just one example of how events and digital marketing work together.
